We are looking for an experienced technical communicator for our in-house department in Strängnäs who wants to work long-term on producing and structuring technical documentation for advanced industrial products and systems.

About the position

As a technical communicator at SPM Instrument, you are the link between development and users, working on the creation, completion, and further development of technical data sheets, manuals, instructions, and context-sensitive help systems for both hardware and software within industrial condition monitoring.

You will develop, structure, and manage technical documentation in MadCap Flare and coordinate translations via MadCap Lingo and DeepL. The work is done in close collaboration with developers, product owners, and other technical communicators to ensure high technical and linguistic quality.

The role includes long-term responsibility for documentation structure and guidelines on how we work with documentation. You contribute to developing workflows, improving processes, and ensuring that our technical information is consistent, user-friendly, and sustainable over time. Your communication skills help keep critical industrial equipment operational and maximize efficiency in processes worldwide.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with several years of experience as a technical communicator who thrives in a role with clear ownership and long-term responsibility. You have a good technical understanding, a strong interest in language, and the ability to make complex information clear and accessible to different target groups.

You express yourself fluently in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, and have relevant higher education or equivalent experience.

Requirements

• Experience as a technical communicator
• Very good Swedish and English in both spoken and written form
• Experience with structured technical documentation in a modern documentation environment

Desirable

• Experience with translation workflows, MadCap Lingo, and DeepL
• Knowledge of MadCap Flare, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
• Interest in illustration, film, or animation

You take initiative, plan and prioritize your work well, and are curious about developing both content and workflows. Marketing & Information currently consists of five employees who collaborate closely in an international environment. The department supports our subsidiaries and distributors globally with marketing materials, product information, and technical sales support. The position is a full-time role at our headquarters in Strängnäs, about 45 minutes from central Stockholm.
